Nothing has been more rewarding than spending the past 18-months watching, learning and working with 7-9 year old players from my son’s hockey team on the design and the development of the 3X JR Skate. While going through social distancing, we were able to stay connected with friends and teammates through Zoom calls to work through multiple design options of skates that best appeals to the demographic of players in that age group. Watching and being on the ice with these players as they learn the basics of the skating stride, we applied materials and features like motion-flex to skates and a blade with a 13ft. radius to make it easier for them to learn the skating stride. Complimenting these junior specific elements are added comfort with a tongue liner and comfort egde collar. These players can have fun, stay comfortable, and develope their stride with ease. Junior specific design and development A Digi comp quarter with a slightly softer construction and MOTION FLEX Technology increase the forward flex of the boot. For younger player’s developing their stride, this ease of flex helps to build good technique. Better balanced blade LS Balance Blade with 13ft radius gives young players an easier to learn skating stride and confidence stepping on the ice. Better fit on the foot for a young player Asymmetrical toe cap and a tongue liner create a better connection for the player’s foot to the boot by minimizing negative space around the toes. Hockey Equipment Fitting Guide
Hockey Elbow Pads:
Necessary and approved equipment that when properly fitted protects the elbow, forearm and lower bicep/tricep from contact that may occur during the sport of hockey.
Hockey Helmet:
Necessary and approved piece of equipment that protects the head from contact that may occur during the sport of hockey.
Ice Hockey Gloves:
Necessary and approved equipment that when properly fitted protects the hand, fingers, wrist and forearm(except short gloves) from slashes and other contact.
Ice Hockey Stick:
Right or Left?... When the player is holding the stick, whichever hand is at the bottom of the shaft will determine right or left.
Goalie Stick:
What hand will the player hold the goal stick in?... If the goal stick is held in the right hand, you will need a "left". If the goal stick is held in the left hand, you will need a "right".
Hockey Shin Pads:
Hard plastic, foam padding and cloth piece of equipment worn to protect shins and knees from contact.
Ice Hockey Pants:
Foam padding and hard plastic contained in a cloth shell used to protect waist, hips, thighs and calf.
Hockey Shoulder Pads:
Hard plastic, foam padding and cloth piece of equipment worn to protect shoulders, upper frontal chest and upper back from contact. Some models also have attachments for protection of mid section and sternum.
Ice Hockey Skates:
